I have always been a big fan of movie titles, albeit opening credits, those of TV-Show’s, (some) ending title; and this one’s no exception.
WALL·E was an instant favorite for being uniquely rich, simple, contrast to main movie’s feature animation style yet it tells a concluding story and noble message to our modern society: We will be all right.
Unlike our credits in the past, the main goal of the credits was to finish the story. To communicate that the humans were going to be okay. They would survive. It became a balancing act of telling the survival story, using art history to do it and to make sure things weren’t too distracting from the names themselves
